How market replay works

Pick Daily Replay for historical daily candles across stocks, forex and crypto, or Intraday Replay for 5-minute forex and crypto charts.

Start from a hidden point in history

Each session begins at a random historical starting point. Every later candle stays hidden, so you decide without knowing what happened next.

Advance and review

Reveal the chart one candle at a time, record simulated decisions, then review the session once you finish.

Market replay, paper trading and backtesting

These terms overlap, but they describe different practice methods. Knowing the difference helps you pick the right one.

Market replay

Plays back finished historical price action in chronological order so you can practice reading the chart and making directional decisions.

Paper trading

Usually simulates live orders, an account balance, open positions and running P&L against current or simulated market conditions.

Automated backtesting

Runs a defined rule or strategy across a large historical dataset automatically and reports aggregated statistics.
